Our approach to sponsorship and Corporate Social Responsibility involves supporting local and national charities, reducing our impact on the environment, and giving all staff members time to give back to the communities we work within by donating their time to the cause.
We are proud to provide discounted terminals to schools and charities. EFTPOS New Zealand is committed to reducing the impact of our business on the environment and moving towards more environmentally sustainable business practices. We’ve implemented a Waste Management Policy and removed individual staff rubbish bins, instead providing centralised bins with recycling options in every workspace.
As a Verifone company EFTPOS NZ complies with the WEEE and ROHS directives, which seek to reduce the impact of electronic waste on the environment by making manufacturers responsible for the use of safe materials in production, and for the management of disposal methods.
In the Community
EFTPOS New Zealand supports a number of charitable organisations each year with discounted terminal rental, network connection and debit card payments, particularly at their fund raising and gala events. Our Staff Volunteer days encourage EFTPOS NZ employees to get out and work in their community, including participating in environmentally-focussed initiatives such as DOC projects.
Mary Potter Hospice provides specialist palliative care services to the people of Wellington and costs approximately $10 million a year to run. The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation holds activities annually throughout October to raise much needed funds for breast health education and awareness, research, and to support women with breast cancer.
